Hunted Poem by Emmanuel Adekunle

Hunted

I'm the hunted bird
on every trees i climb
i always get catapulted
i'm the hunted bird

My nest is missing
where are the joy of my life?
My love is roaming about
i need skills to win it back
i'm the hunted man
the hunters are all out tonight
read my eyes
my tears are of love
hunters, you're all failed men

i will be the young man
hunting the bird
to hunt and not relent
hunted but not murdered
i'm the hunter of the bird
the final winner among
dexterous hunters.
I'm crowned with love
