Humility Poem by Paul Sebastian

Humility

Humility walks before honour
Humility is not self-depreciation
Humility is not truth disclaimer
Humility is right self-estimation
Humility is not proud humility
Humility is in the heart not face
Humility is not posed as inferiority
Humility has love embraced
Humility from within is genuine
Humility gives all glory to God
Humility admits one tends to sin
Humility seeks mercy from God
Humility is prayer dressing
Humility in asking answers are wrought
Humility is faith confessing
Humility acknowledges God as Lord
Humility is God-dependent
Humility has become so scarce
Humility is not being self-dependent
Humility resides within men of God's grace

I am loving this poem very much. Humility, the true one, as described in this poem is something we need so much. Reading all the news local and international, if only there was some true humility! I think humility has a lot to do with moving from an ego-controlled life to a soul controlled life. But I often wonder for my self: why is my soul so quiet and my ego so loud. Excellent and thought provoking poem, Paul
