Humanity Stripped Away Poem by krissi b'williams

Humanity Stripped Away

Rating: 5.0

(from freedom)

our dignity has been stripped away...along with our pride
we are all looked at with hate and pity, but we dare to never cry
EACH AND EVERY DAY
we hide...drawing our mind into ourselves, where we hide
every second of every minute
the life within our eyes, dies down in it....
we become just a #, nolonger do we have a name
we have become shells of our former selfs
who we once were is now confined and restrained
our souls slowly circle, around the drain
no more happiness, only unbearable pain
that feeds into our physcey, into our brain

for we are guilty until proven innocent, not hte other way around
truly living in eternal hell..no matter how we scream
no matter how we beg and yell, we will nmever wake from this nightmarish dream
everyday is a deja-vu hell
broken and repenting our lies..we look 2wards the sky
with torn souls, and tears in our eyes
as 1 day turns into 10..we raise are arms up to the heavens
as we get no reply...the word freedom, slowly, but absolutely begins to die.....
just like the hope of our answered prayers, the longer we are locked in there

yet we try to keep ouir heads up, and trust someone to help
'give us back our freedom, and save us from this unbearable hell'
please, o, lord, save us from this caged insanity, causing us, your children, this hell'
if this too, is impossible, save our damned souls, and lift them from our cursed, inprisoned bodies....save us from ourselves'
