Hindsight....20/20 Poem by krissi b'williams

isnt it ironic, isnt it funny
how we find, that our hindsight is always 20/20
if we only knew now,
what we knew then,
would we have lived through it any how?
would we do it all over again?

our past is what makes us
who we are...
now
it is also what breaks us
anyhow
it has sometimes...crossed a very narrow line
and has pushed us to far....
how many times have weve been on the brink
standing on a ledge
due to the insane thoughts, we sometimes think
that have pused us close to the ledge

yet it seems our pain, lasts each and every day seems to be much longer
whatever hasnt broke us, has indeed made us stronger
if we could reverse time and revisit our past
what would we change, of our past remains
what would we say to our former selves, what exactly would we do
if we changed just one simple aspect of us, just one simple thing
it has to be thought through
would it alter, and effect, the lives of me and you
