Humanity
There will be some rain
On arid lands
Of minds and hearts...
A little more splendor
There will be
On those stars
Of circumspect eyes...
There will be some breeze
Tonight
As well as a tree
Longing for a windy kiss...
When hands shake hands
And eyes meet eyes,
And when people are linked
With other peoples,
There will be in the world
Some mistery, some peace -
A sentiment of humanity...
dear silvia, welcome to the site. only one poem but i love it. a great way to start as it shows you really love to get to know people, especially poets. thanks for comment on my poems and love, john.
dear silvia sometimes some subtleties make a poem lovely. the last stanza somehow takes away some of the sweetness of this poem. yoiu explain something people already know. sometimes it is better not to explain so that the obvious is the honour for the readers - to feel. so haiku.
yet most humanistic feelings , as when grown in man, like a rose in its brach, we adore peace and love, never being befuddled even by words, war gets away, poem really asui-generis, well penned,10/10, thanks for sharing
