How To Write A Poem In Under Two Minutes

Rating: 5.0

The night air off the ocean is very cool as it cozies up
next to me tonight; me drinking an imported beer. It reminds me
of that warm sweater shirt, the one with the zippered neck
that my wife’s mother gave me as a gift last year; the one
I’d left laying over the back of my desk chair while the weather
was congenial and the temperatures of my spirit were higher.
I slip it on over my sleepy head and immediately I feel inspired
Like maybe I could write another cheesy, flabby and banal poem….
in under two minutes.

Two minutes? That long? Hell, with a mind like yours you must be doing the ironing, reading the paper and solving a crossword puzzle at the same time as the writing.... t x

Time! ! ! ! I got it down for one minute 58 seconds...in a world where very few of us have the luxury of enough time anymore...I still remember being able to luxuriate in words just for the world they create and the occassional nugget you might find like the line 'while the weather was congenial and the temperatures of my spirit were higher'...write on...Coach

Cheese and flab are all I need to sip with my Pina Colada in the breeze Give me a deck chair sunk in the sand My spirits stay high as I raise up my hand I can live without con genital bites but sleeping with head inspires my nights...
