How To Say I Love You Poem by eastin woodelle

i do not love you
but then i do
you pulled me close today
put your mouth to my ear
opening to say something
but no words came out

those words i could almost hear
spoken softly and very clear
but only a push of breath escaped
not leaving those words in its place

i wish i couldve been the one
to open my mouth and gather some
emotion to return that which was not said
but i get scared and do nothing instead
