How Sad It Must Be To Not Know God Poem by Ema Bovoro

How Sad It Must Be To Not Know God

How sad it would it be to not know the God who created the Heavens and Earth

How lonely to walk in a continuous dream or nightmare day to day
How cold must life's lessons be without the reassurance of complete love
How horrid the cries heard all night without the hope of a better tomorrow
How distressing Death's pursuit of you that you will never escape

How the fear must grip you daily when you don't have a prayer to save you
How black must life's shadow be when your desires, they overbear you
How much must life's "mystery" upset you and control you
How empty must achievements be once gone and nobody knows you

How distressing yes, life must be to die not knowing, was it what you made it?
How sombre the feeling when dreams are stolen, to walk alone in your abyss
How forsaken is the place you cannot escape that your spirit and soul lie deep in
How lonesome must it be to not have a Saviour you can you can always cling too

How sad must it be to not know God, the one who never left you.
