How Many Christmases? Poem by Terry Dunham

How Many Christmases?

Rating: 3.5

How many Christmases will you experience
Before you realize there's more than you see?
It's not a fairy tale made up in someone's mind;
It's not a season when we try to be kind.

It's not just pretty lights, and angels on a tree;
It's more than stockings hung
Waiting for St. Nick to come.
How many Christmases before you see?

Two thousand years ago the greatest gift of all
Was given quietly from the great creator.
The child of God was born in little Bethlehem
To find His destiny dying for our sins.

It's not just pretty lights, and angels on a tree;
It's more than stockings hung
Waiting for St. Nick to come
How many Christmases before you see?

Silent night. Holy night.
