How Friends Should Be Poem by Elizabeth Walker

How Friends Should Be

Friends are people I need around
They keep me sane they keep me sound
They listen when I talk, they hear what I say
They’re always there if life doesn’t go my way
I can crash at their place if home life is rough
We laugh about all kinds of stuff
They make the best out of the darkest days
And pull me out of the foggiest haze
They support me when the going’s good
Lifting me up like a good friend should
