you were my soulmate
the one i always dreamed of,
and in every possible way
you far exceeded my hopes
my expectations out the window,
you blew me away just from the smile
I wish i had not caused this
torrential downpour to begin
for the monsoon will wipe away all life
that my rose garden has grown,
you crush a glass by being too loud to hear
you break a body by beating too hard to stop
you wound a life by bleeding too much to live
you shatter a soul by being too difficult to find
and by saying you'll not be mine.
