How Can You Learn From Life Poem by Francis Duggan

How Can You Learn From Life

Are you one of those who think you are never wrong
That to you and you only the truth does belong
How arrrogant a person you have turned out to be
If when you look in your mirror perfection you see
Your ego is over-inflated 'twould seem
It even has out grown your sense of high self esteem
You feel that your mind is full of wisdom and knowledge and light
If you cannot be wrong then you have to be right
Since the laws of the fair go you regularly transgress
With your judgement of others few you do impress
How can you learn from life if you do not seem to know
That others like you do too deserve a fair go
We share one thing in common we live on the same street
Though you are one I do prefer not to meet.
