How Can I Mere Mortal Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

How Can I Mere Mortal

How can I, mere mortal,
Learn to love from here,
A goddess full of charm
Who is so far from here?

Her visage she has promised,
To send for me to see
The wondrous of her personage
That I may sometime see.

It would be my pleasure
To learn to love her so,
And wait for her forever
Till it was time to go.

So please honour your promise
And send your picture do
So I may see and wonder
What the future holds for me and you.
