Another year has ended
A new one has begun
Here's hoping that this year
Will be better than the last one

It's always better to look ahead
Hoping for bettter days
Hoping that the world can find
A much better way

We as people always hope
For a life lived in peace
Praying all the fighting
Can just somehow cease

People all over the world
Just want a peaceful life
It's something we all would take
Without having to think twice
