Hope For A Kind Heart Poem by Marcel Tourdot

Hope For A Kind Heart

My eyes are blurry my mind so teary.
And peace and rest from me are always fleeting.
No victory (and no advance) so now I’m left retreating.
Back again into the darkness all alone but not without hope.

So once again I smile and laugh at life and gallows pole
Defiance pain and bad ideas seem to enjoy my company.
And regret follows all the times I can’t suppress them in word and deed.
But I’m alive and have a tongue that’s mean and hard and smart
So darkness falling and problems mounting they are what I expect.
There are no reasons and no rhymes My flaws I won’t correct.
But all in all I tell myself maybe with lies there’s good still in my heart.
