Hope Poem by Madi Lynn

Hope

I could walk outside
And my body would be soaked
Crystal-like teardrops falling from the sky
Would quickly smother me
The trees would be bending in the wind
While the ground cries out for more

Yet my soul would still be light
For there is a hope
That guides me through all things
Whether it be sorrow or happiness
Or simply pure boredom
This hope has a name
A name which will shake nations
And bring down world rulers
This hope its name is
Jesus.
