Time Poem by Madi Lynn

Time

Time changes so many things
It makes my love for you recede
Gone is the passion I felt
Gone is my want for you
This realization is upsetting to the core,
But with time all but true love collapses.

Time has robbed me of the simpleness of a child
Oh, how I miss it
When all was straightforward
When I did not have a worry in the world
Why can not my life be like that anymore,
But with time everything but true love changes.

Time has taught me so many lessons
It has taught me that people die
It has taught me that some things are worth waiting for
And it has taught me that it, itself, is the easiest thing to waste
Without time our hurts would last forever,
But with time all things but true love will pass.
