Honesty Poem by Laura Bigelow

Honesty

My soul is bruised,
But I don't cry.
My heart is broken,
But I won't tell you why.
I've had too many disappointments
And I've lost my trust.
Making MY honesty,
An absolute must.

Why do you talk if it won't be real?
Don't waste the breath to say,
How you know you DON'T really feel?
Please don't run words together,
And act like you've got more,
To offer me, than I offer myself.
It has nothing to do with your money or wealth.
Its about being me, without you ruining my soul.
Talk is cheap. Keep honesty as an ultimate goal.
