Homecoming Poem by Autumn Summers

Homecoming

Rating: 3.8

when I told you I had never danced
with anyone before you grabbed
me by the hips and danced with
me as I danced to the beat and you danced
off beat as our bodies began to sway together in a rhythm
so melodic that it nearly took my
breath away but then I turned around
to look into your eyes and was greeted
by a beautiful sea of brown wonder and love
and as I looked into your eyes I thought I was going to
die because I was looking at pure beauty
and my heart started to race fast and
my mind went into space and
straight to the stars and in that
very moment I knew that I could maybe possibly like you
