Home On The Brain

I was born in a time and place,
But knew the land was not for me.
I put my bearings in brain space,
Then headed out for life at sea.
Ah, the adventures I did live
As I traveled the world around,
Enjoying what nature does give,
Wherever, whenever be bound.
But then something inside of me
Signaled that I needed return
To where I was born - exactly,
Coordinates I did discern.

For years and oceans I did roam,
Then this sea turtle came back home.
