Hold My Hand Poem by Kailey Marie Abbott

Hold My Hand

Hold my hand, never let it go
you call me at night
its 2 a.m here and 2 in the afternoon there
you say that your apartment has a real nice view of the city
and you say things where just fine
and that you miss me
i hear the phone hang up on the other side
and i wish i woulda said
Baby, i miss you more than the world
and i don't think i could live without you
and i wish you were here with me
cause i really want you to hold my hand again
you're not here right now
and since its 4 p.m here,
you're asleep over there
i look at the braclet that you gave me
and i still feel your hands in mine
and when you call me up you say
There's really alot to do here
but none of its fun cause you're not here
i miss you so much i could die.
and the phone hung up on the other side
and i wish i woulda said
Baby, i miss you more than the world
and i don't think i could live without you
and i wish you were here with me
cause i really want you to hold my hand again
Even though i wish you were here with me
i know it won't happen
so i'll just have to wish i was there with you
you called me up late at night
knowing i'd still be awake
and he said
I feel so lost without you
you're the only one i can really talk to
and before he hung up i said
Baby, i miss you more than the world
and i don't think i could live without you
and i really wish i was there with you
the next day
I bought a plane ticket and a passport too
and i flew all the way from wisconsin to California
I went to your apartment
and when you answered i said
Baby, i've missed you more than the world
and i couldn't live without you
and now i'm here with you again
and i really like you to hold my hand again.
