Hiraeth Poem by RIC BASTASA

Hiraeth

pity for those who were dislodged
from home
a homeland wrecked by a revolution
a home you cannot return to
and now a home that never was
and will never be.

give way to homesickness
be glad that for now, you are never
one of them

at home with love and affection
meditate, and be silent.
