Hidden Youth Poem by Romeo Della Valle

Hidden Youth

Reflective memories
Of my yesteryears that
Through time still remain vivid
In my mind and kept tucked
Away in a book of photographs
Recollections of moments now
A picture on a page!

Fountain of Youth,
Every now and then resurfaces
In the present moments
Sparks of my youth re-adapted
To a new time yet still wanting
To play a part in my present!

Definitive changes only in physicality
Highlights of wisdom in my grey hair
Laugh lines on my face
Reminders of the happy smiles
Music forever in my soul and
My feet still dance to the beat
Of the rhythm of my heart!

Old is the World that was here
Long before I was born and
Shall still remain after I am gone
Yet, while I'm here I will stay
Forever young!
