Here I Am (Love Stinks) Poem by Jessie Lee

Here I Am (Love Stinks)

Here I am
the quiet one in the corner
the one who truley loves you
the one who's always on the border
of your life

Im the one who always says what she feels
Im the one who feels like she's not important
the one who everyone says is cool
the one who's told she's important
the one who's told she's pretty, unique and strong

The day you yelled
was the day i cried
for four hours and a while
it hurt like a sunburn
a sunburn on the heart
a place where no lotion can be

You stay up for half the hour with me
saying I love you beautiful
I'm sorry I didn't mean to
and I'd walk from here to find you

I love you and you know it
I know you didn't mean to hurt me
to give me a sunburn on my heart
it hurts and thats how life is
love stinks we should get used to it
but we can't

The world is evil for the love it holds inside
sometimes I wish i could run and hide
you can't get away from me
just like I cant get away from the world

I love you and it should be
us together just you and me.
