Henry's Underbelly Poem by Henry Utomudo

Henry's Underbelly

I want to be the emptiness around you when the lights go out. The sound of the night when the wind passes through. I want to be the chill embracing your bare skin, caressing every inch. You are at my mercy, enclosed in a seamless sheet of murky nothingness. My voice seeking out your innocence, whispering melodies to your soul. While you relinquish the subtleties, my lips marking out my territory. Listen to the darkness around you, Me..pulling you into a brisk frosty grasp. You're betwixt a void, safe in my bosom..cuddle close to me, introduce our bodies to a new warmth.
Remove yourself from every doubt, every fear..lead me to please you. Wish away your anxieties and pray we don't ever stop. Our bodies escalating to heights unknown only to plummet and levitate again.. An extension of my soul deeply rooted in yours, parting asunder the veil of curiosity.
Sunrise. Lights peeling off my layers. I slowly recede back into the walls. Till dusk frees me again.
