Heavy Heart Poem by Danette Frenz

Heavy Heart

My heart is heavy, a lead falling
Into the deep abyss.
Lost forever, from eternal bliss.
Sad it is for love not shone.

Many a soul has this heart known
Only to have love
Thrown
Blown
Unknown.

I wanted your friendship.
Only to have it
Clip
Snip
Rip.

It swam away and live in the ocean,
Without the commotion.
I understand the notion.

Maybe you hate me,
I just can’t see
Myself being mad
But sad.

Maybe you are hurt
And want to be curt
This I can’t assert.

I’ll always remember you
If only you knew.
How much my heart was involved,
Our problems resolved.

I miss you, how we used to talk.
About the rock.
Nature and God, the scriptures and more
And what was in store.

But I’ll be okay, I’m not on my own.
I have the Creator, the one I was shown.
Thank you for being there,
When I needed all the care.

You’ll always be in my memory,
Of what I want to be.
You make my heart light,
My mind bright
With all your insight.

You’re so strong
Could do me no wrong.
Sorry this is so long…
I’d write you a song.
