Heartfelt (An Apology) Poem by Donna Oliver

Heartfelt (An Apology)

...
To avoid an apology in vain
And to get this off my chest
Writing stuff like this is a pain
But I will try neither the less
...
Feelings coming from inside
I've never tried to nail
Though my poetry sucks
I'll try not to epic fail.
...
Just give me your attention
I'll try not to look away
Your reaction will probably be negative
But, let me try anyways?
...
Now I'm pretty anxious
Nerves awaken
Failure is clearly an option
But if you think I won't try your mistaken.
...
Because I remember your smile
The true one you gave
Locked in my memory
Don't let it fade
...
Just let me tell you these words
Of which I truly feel
I know I've made mistakes
To your heart.
You pull away in fright
(Don't leave me here)
But hear me through
Let me try my best once more
For me and
For You.
