So much sadness was in your eyes
In your silent gaze, you uttered not a word.
We loved each other so much
Words couldn't describe the depth of our love.

Loving each other the whole winter
But never we told each other a word.
Looking at each other, we were very sad
Words couldn't describe the depth of our pain.

One winter season already passed
Winds continued to blow through sun porch
Mating season also ended:
A flock of cranes already crossed the river.

You sat behind window bars
I leaned on the wall of flowers
We looked at each other with our flowing tears
Each day we drifted further apart.

Đôi mắt em lặng buồn
Nhìn thôi mà chẳng nói,
Tình đôi ta vời vợi
Có nói cũng không cùng.

Yêu hết một mùa đông
Không một lần đã nói,
Nhìn nhau buồn vời vợi
Có nói cũng không cùng.

Trời hết một mùa đông
Gió bên thềm thổi mãi,
Qua rồi mùa ân ái:
Đàn sếu đã sang sông.

Em ngồi trong song cửa
Anh đứng dựa tường hoa,
Nhìn nhau mà lệ ứa,
Một ngày một cách xa...
