Heart's Cry Poem by Khumo Mhlanga

Heart's Cry

I want to hide in your heart
Swimming in the flow of your grace
Repeatedly drowning in everlasting life
Knowing no time or space
No longer serving an earth-suit sentence

I want to understand the profound whispers of your great voice -
All creation obeys
Taken up in your strength
No longer satisfied with the love of another
Human love - tainted

Cleansed as I stand under showers of purity
Mercy riding on the wings of each new dawn

Ignite this giant -
I can set patient nature alight
Performing greater works for your glory
