He Will Always Care Poem by Marilyn Lott

He Will Always Care

I came across an amazing church
On a beautiful sunny day
I had been driving for some time
When I pulled into a worn driveway

I went inside this red-rock structure
My heart was full with love
‘Cause instantly I felt as though
I connected with God above

For even though the day was bright
Inside I felt sad and alone
Mistakes I’d made were many
And I wanted to atone

Oh Lord, I said as I found a seat
Please tell me what to do
I want my life to forever change
I want to believe in you

Alone I sat, my head was bowed
When I prayed my heart was full
This rock-made church helped me see
I could get my life in control

Never forget that no matter where
You are that God is there
He loves you so and will stand by you
For he will always care!
