He Saved Me From Myself Poem by Ray Hansell

He Saved Me From Myself

You see I was a late bloomer
For years I did resist
Now looking back through the the years
I know exactly what I have missed

Too many years lived in turmoil
Too many times taking the wrong road
Too many years just living life
By my own unwritten code

My soul is now at peace
Only love lives in my heart
The only thing that makes me sad
Is that I got such a late start

But still he welcomed me
With His arms opened wide
Life is so happy now
From Him I'll never hide
