And
He Held My Hand
But
I Feel Like He’s Not Really With Me
His Hands Are So Loose On Mine
It’s Like He’s Letting Go
He’s So Distant

He Said
“I’m So Happy To Have Met You”
And
He Wrapped Me In His Arms
But
I Feel Like He Isn’t Happy
His Eyes Aren’t Smiling
It’s Like He’s In Pain
He’s So Distant

He Said
“I Love You”
And He Swore By It
But
I Feel Like He Is Just Reciting Empty Words
His Words Seem So Hollow
It’s Like He’ll Say Those Words To Anyone
