He's My Son Poem by Deborah Calquhoun

He's My Son

Rating: 5.0

I can't believe my kid's in jail,
I can't afford to pay his bail.
He did some bad, got caught with a gun,
But i still love him, 'cuz he's my son.
I hope he dosen't get much time,
Yet he's gotta be punished,
and pay for his crime.
I hope he learns good and well,
If you do the crime, you'll go to jail.
I'm dissapointed by what he's done,
But i'll stick by him, 'cuz he's my son.
Lord, please watch over my boy day by day,
Keep him safe while he's locked away.
He's a young man, he has alot to grow,
teach him all he needs to know.
Please forgive him for what he's done,
He's really a good kid, 'cuz he's my son.

Extremely emotional and a poignant portrayal of the unfortunate fallout of a son's crime. But for father he remains a loving son. Great poem. A quote: I can't believe my kid's in jail.... He's really a good kid, 'cuz he's my son.
