He Hit Me Poem by tristan loveday

He Hit Me

Rating: 0.5

He hit me like is was nothing,
He hit me while seeing the fear in my eyes,
He hit while there were tears running down
My face to save their lives

He hit me not to hurt me but to save me
He hit me so I can open my eyes
To see reality, to see who was right
And who was wrong, to save me from evil,
He hit me so I can feel the painful love in his hand

He hit me, my cheek burning red, showing his love,
He hit me; I could bare the pain but not his sorrow face
And his beautiful, strong eyes holding back his tears,
Seeing my reflection in his eye reminded me of our times
Where we would laugh and cry, where we were one

He hit me because I lied to his face; he hit me to show his blind love,
He hit me and I'm thankful for everything, he hit me
While thinking to go but his heart yelling to stay,
With a hurtful smile, he wished me happiness in my life,
He hit me but that's all I had left of him, his love marks on my face,
He hit and I fall down to my knees, begging him to stay.
