He Had To Go Poem by Anna gerlitz

He Had To Go

He had to leave,
To say goodbye,
He couldnt stay,
To see me cry.

He did not see,
Or care to try,
To comfort me,
Or take back his lie.

He smiled and waved.
Prepared to leave,
I was left,
Alone to greive.

He was done,
He told me so,
If he hurt
It didnt show.

The next day,
I spoke to him,
As I approched him,
His face grew dim.

I kissed him lightly,
On the cheek,
He looked suprised,
Like me might freak.

That gave me hope,
To heal my heart,
It gave me strength,
For a new start.

I miss him so,
But I'll survive,
As I have shown,
I'm still alive.

I'll find a new,
Boy for my own,
This was good,
For I have grown.

I now know,
What I need,
I need a guy,
That runs my speed.

Break-up's arent so bad,
Can't you see?
They are full,
Of new oppurtunities.
