You have heard the sea
Roar and rumble
And fade into quiet
Summer evenings

You have seen the moon
Many a wintry night
And wondered
If "they" have
Noticed it too

You have been on mountains
And valleys
Yet the stream of love
Has kept you untouched

You have walked on rain
Shivered in snow
Rode in a desert

Yet somehow
Life is incomplete
You have prayed
You have cried
You have fought
And you have shined
But nowhere could you find
The peace
In a world
Full of strife

But in your sorrowful heart
And mine.
