Hark The Bell Rings Poem by Gautami Phookan

Hark The Bell Rings

Hark! the bell rings.

Dusky clouds loom across the dale,

Hark! the bell rings.

To her veil of fog, ocean clings.

Watered wind rising to the sail;

A shadow wheels against the gale.

Hark! the bell rings.

Hark! the bell rings.

Old town is bathed in the gloaming,

Hark! the bell rings.

Cradling birds the birch yonder swings;

Once a jolly sailor, homing;

To lay now, wearied from roaming.

Hark! the bell rings.
