Happy Mother's Day (Dedication) Poem by Melissia Ann Senter

Pretty as the flowers in springtime,
Precious as the day is long
Is my Mother, forever fun loving,
Young at heart, and as sweet as a song.

Many years we've shared together,
Some good times and even some bad;
Yet outstanding is my Mother's love,
The best that could ever be had.

When at times I thought I couldn't go on
You were there to comfort and reassure,
That I wasn't all alone and could make it,
Your love was so sweet and so pure.


So many hours you have spent with me
At home or on the phone,
Just talking and making me understand
Just that... that I wasn't alone.



In this world we have only one mother
And you are the greatest by a mile;
Everlasting is your love for your children,
And so ravishing is your sweet smile.

Sometimes your words were harsh,
But most of the time you were right,
And I was, oh, so wrong,
But your bark was worse than your bite!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU
For being there, and holding me when I cried,
And also when I was happy and you would
Cry your own tears, happy or sad, as I cried.

But most of all I just wanted to tell you that
As years go by I see a little bit of you in me.
And I am so glad to have you as my mother
And to have you so near to me.

You have guided me through the bad times
And the good you have shared with me,
And no matter what I have done or said
You have always been there for me.

And for this Mother's Day I wish I could
Hand you the stars and the moon up above,
Because you loved me enough to be there
With your unconditional love.

For this I thank you from the depths
Of my heart and soul and want to say
That on this day I wish for you
A very special and Happy Mother's Day.

I love you heart and soul, my beautiful Mother!
