Happy Mother's Day Poem by sydney kelly

Happy Mother's Day

This holiday was made,
with you in mind.
Of all the mothers in the world,
I got the best one I could find.

You taught me many things: Like
there was someone in the world
who would love me.
You always taught me to play fair,
and to be kind to people.

You were always..
there for me.
You were always so special,
and you will always be.

There has never been anyone
quite like you,
and there might never be.
What I will most remember,
is the day you set me free.

When I was older,
you taught me a couple things,
also.
You taught me that you don't
need a man to be happy..you
never remarried after Daddy died.
After your health scares, you
taught me to be strong..and not
to worry about things that you
cannot control.

When your time comes,
I will try not to shed many tears.
For I will happily remember,
my dear little old mother I had,
and loved for many years.
