Hey people, wake up
Happy Independence Day
I say, make merry,
be happy, have fun
for we are free.

Hey! wait, I think
there is something, I see
Oh! No, corruption,
poverty, seems that
the list, is too long.

I look back, I ask
is it because of me?
For what have I done,
have I? I ask again
both you and me.

The question is simple
may be we have the answer too. So,
why be like blind bats?
Can't we see, things
that's not true.

Do you know, what is all
that we need? It's just
a little bit of
hardwork and a little bit
of that extra honesty.

So friends, I say again
Happy Independence Day.
Make merry, have fun
for I believe, what we require
is in, both you and me.
