Handwriting / Letras Poem by Luz EtchemendiGaray

Handwriting / Letras

Dust seeps through the shutters,
rest on the shelves,
upon the books as well.
Dust takes possession of things
while the letters of the alphabet
driven by my hand,
thirsty for meaning
tenuously provocative,
dance across the page.

Translated by Daniel Ginhson and Sue Littleton.

From the book 'HeartBeats / Latidos', edited in 2010.
