Hallmark Collateral Poem by Kevin Patrick

Hallmark Collateral

Rating: 5.0

kill a kiss
with your fist
stuff it down
a somnambulist
tattooed in black fugue
with crusty eyelids

Plant a nail
in tracks of braille
watch rust sprout
in sharp bladed scales
seething stalks cleave
a dose of tetanus

comb a mirage
for faiths barrage
sutured scenes Juxtapose
a fatal montage
atrocities parade
the jingoist corsage

Don't paralyse my conscience
with textbook ideologies
My licence to existence
Wont cancelled by bureaucracy

so suspend my contributions
to that boy scouts resurrection
and ignite me like matchstick
for midnight insurrection

The worlds drunk at the wheel
and the car is on fire
I'm going to dance on the roof
as rubber burns tires
and laugh driving fast
on an endless ashphalt pyres
