Half Poet Poem by Madhu Kailas

Half Poet

I falter quite a bit
'cause you made me a half-poet.

I trip on words like 'Perhaps'.
And then, a lasting pause.

If the mind thinks
my heart weeps.

When the heart sings
the tongue stills.

I falter quite a bit
'cause you made me a half-poet.

I search in vain.
Here again, but gone now.

What wells within me
dissolves beyond my ken.

I am never sure of words.
I trust, their love will show me the way.
