Half My Life (Secret Message Poem) Poem by Ronald Chapman

Half My Life (Secret Message Poem)

I awoke this day lonely, sad and tired., Like every day I
Have to live in this empty house., My 40th birthday,
Spent living with such a sad face,
Half of a broken heart I carry with me in,
My ugly fate,
Life has given me nothing but hate,
Time to say good by to this place filled with hatred.

Looking out my window.
For answers. Oh! What to do?
Someone walks past my house,
To my amazing gaze. She brings a gift of flowers with,
Love to my front door's place,
Like a messenger sent from my past,
You bring a present from my long ago past.

I read a message at last. That asks,
'Am I all right this day? '
So I can bring a
Happy birthday cake to your place? .

I think who is this I,
Found that sends me kindness this day?
You saved my life this day.

The secret revealed:
'I have spent half my life-time. Looking for someone to love like you. I am so happy I found you.'
