Guardian Angel Poem by Joanna Hamilton

Guardian Angel

You do not know me
I do not know you.
But that’s okay,
Sit and stay
Watch the fading light.
Well talk tonight.

Wait a moment more.
I’ll rise from my sleep.
Con’t cry now child,
There’s no cause to weep.
I’ll whisper softly,
We’ll dry you eyes.
Don’t fret dear child
You’re sage tonight.

Across the years
You’ve seen my face
In window, on corners,
Nearly very place –
I happily smile,
My face frozen in time
I won that race
You’ll win yours just the same.
