Growing Up
When I was growing up
My parents told me never to give up
Even if the girl I loved
Just walked out on me
By giving me a shove
In the start
I thought this girl was the one for me
So I gave her my heart
When that girl told me "forever"
She really mean never
When she walked out
I knew it was over
So I cried my eyes out
There's nobody else for me
But I never gave up
It just wasn't mean to be
