Grip Poem by Rachel Martin

Grip

Rating: 1.0

i can't stand a day
i can't stand an hour
i can't stand a minute
i can't stand a second
away from you feels like
i'm going through withdraw
you said love is a burning bush
we sacrifice to keep it alive
i'm throwing in my heart
i'm throwing in my mind
my emotions (too)
i'm leaving the past behind
if that doesn't meet my quota
i'll never know what will
i'll learn to sacrifice more
you just have to show me how
not a minute of your love will i ever forget
your touch is priceless
and your kiss fattens me up
your smile is my sun
and i dream you hold me at night
you promised me you'd hold me tight
forever in your grip i am
