Grinding Poem by Kent Krauss

Grinding

How do you start to get out of a monster rut that has taken over your life?
That has aggravated you to no end, taken a toll on not just you, but your wife
As well, along with your attitude, your finances, and most of the interactions
You have in your environment, leaving many of your friends split in factions
Trying to give you advice on what you might do to be released from this funk
Which seems to have you in this perpetual position of having stunk
Up your life for far too long a time, but you just can't quite seem to shake it
Not matter what you do, what you try, it doesn't seem to make even a bit
Of difference, but you know giving up is never an option, so you seek counsel
Yet again in a bit of old wisdom, as you happen to be adorning with tinsel
And remind yourself to strike out in a new, untried direction
Determined to not let this get the best of you, but rather let it spur you to perfection

So nice concept. Thank you. I liked it: Determined to not let this get the best of you, but rather let it spur you to perfection
