Green Bottle Poem by dan burke

Green Bottle

Painted Bottle, A clear mystery beneath.
Strong though your body be in my hand,
A conduit to heaven, clothed in vermilion
I love and loathe you, You lubricate the tongue and free the soul.
The weight of care lifted from a beaten man.
The struggle of you, a death or a medicine never symmetrical
