Grandpa's Song Poem by Tony Adah

Grandpa's Song

There, the signpost hung unwritten
In the wisdom of the ancients
A one legged cricket chirps
At its burrow in the seventh month
And a one legged man's hope
Of dog merchandise is a fantasy
In the world of two legged men
In drunkenness a roach
Plucked his sanity in the gizzard
Of the famished rooster.
